Overseas to the Oxford Book Fair in November

The Oxford Fine Press Book Fair on November 3 and 4, 2007 in Oxford, UK is the largest international show of fine presses and their work. Of course the Petrarch Press will be there (we may need to stow away on the next boat out, but we will be there). Every two years, the UK Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA) works with the Fine Press Book Association to organize this event. We visited the last fair in 2005 and entered our first parchment book, Thoughts from the Letters of Petrarch. It was well received and David Vickers of the Gregynog Press invited us to Wales for a visit.   More…

Oak Knoll Fest in the Fall

Once again the Petrarch Press will be traveling to the East Coast for Oak Knoll Fest XIV on October 6th and 7th, 2007. This is our third year and we are pleased to be gaining a following. We will be showcasing our newest publication, The Gospel According to Philip, both in handmade paper and parchment editions. This special Gnostic text is an elegant jewel, hand set in a continuous block with red ornaments denoting paragraph breaks. Stop by our booth and we will be happy to tell you the many behind the scenes stories associated with the making of this book.

For more information about the Oak Knoll Book Festival, visit their website. We look forward to seeing the early fall colors, joining our old friends and meeting new faces. And we are always inspired by wonderful work of our peers.
